Wondering and pondering
I'm ending my uni days soon, typing my thesis, finding job and hopefully, working soon. Sianz, still not sure wat to do in a long term and haven't find my dream. Just complaining as i'm feeling lousy nowadays. Watched this touching video and i actually envy the kiwi cos it has a dream and goes for it.
What is worth living for, is also worth dying for. Totally agreed.

Visa
Kenny and i have booked a holiday trip to Japan Hokkaido, WooHoo! My sis is going to be $2393 lighter soon as i'm borrowing from her for this tour. Went to chinatown and checked out the prices of different agencies before deciding on this one, the cheapest of all. Their services should be alright i guess, after hearing some opinions from friends. The tricky thing about travel agencies is hidden charges - like tips for guide, substitution of place of visit and so on. Hopefully the things they told us are really the final price.
To travel to japan, i'll need to apply for visa... and japan embassy is so gegao. If you're a student, you'll need a letter form the school; an employee will then need a letter from the company. I just e-mailed to a department which takes care of undergraduate affairs, and i got reply very fast from this person, let's call her K. I was surprised how efficient the admin had become till something put me off. Went into the office, ppl at the entrance entertained me, took my name and called K. As i proceeded to K's office, i saw irene and a guy talking, totally disregarded my presence. After entering K's office and asking her to sign the visa application form for me, we went out to get the school stamp from irene. Instead of immediately getting the stamp, she was shocked to see me, a student, in admin area. She QUESTIONED how i entered K's office and whether i asked for permission from the staff at the entrance initially. So BITCHY, gaining pounds and age doesn't give you the right to throw your weights around k! Didn't reply her immediately as i was hopping K would answer for me, and she did! Although K just said "yay yay, she did.", it was sufficient to show who's not doing her job well. YAY!...right in you face!
Went home after that and some event was going on at the void deck.

Aww... so cute... A mini road safety park for the elderly! Reminds me of the road safety park we went during primary school. I was disappointed then because i was too short, couldn't "drive" the car, didn't know how to cycle, could only be pedestrian and the macdonald's don't sell burgers.
Lately there's a number of labs closing in the research institute i'm at now. One of them is the lab beside us, the xenopus (frog) lab. I took pic and video of them before they are gone.
These are the babies, they are energetic swimmers and have big head. Here's this video to show they swim rigorously, like having F1 racing in the petric dish.
Ly was asking if they were playing or they are really that normally hahaa. I have no idea, since i'm looking at them the first time too.
I tried a chocolate brand quite sometime ago, it completely sweeps me off my feet!

The shiny coat on the chocolate blinds my eyes hahaa! There's gold, sliver and rose colour coating, and they looked so metallic and special. Mmmhmmm... feel loved. My sis said she got it in Liang Court basement.

Sleepy bugs hit me in the face
Okay... been pretty sleepy nowadays cos this week is packed! Has symposium... prepare resume... plan travel to perth... and need to read up journal for a TEST given by PI! And the paper is over 50 pages of history... OMG it seems like i'm still in school preparing for quiz sob sob.
I was supposed to wake up at 8am, had only overslept by 4 hours... Okay quite a great feat i would say hahaa... People out there, dun underestimate my ability to snooze the whole day away, cos i am surprise at myself sometimes too ^^. Luckily ppl in the lab dun noe or dun care, and i arrive during lunch hour when no one was ard anyway.
Love this song and the video lately, the singer is said to be the up-coming amy winehouse cos of her husky deep voice. The actors in the video have to convey their feelings while laying on the ground... the meet up... breakup... and even dance! I find it pretty incredible.

Post bday update
My birthday just passed sometime ago... can't believe i'm 23 already, cos i remembered my 21st birthday party was held just last year lor hahaa. Had a very fulfilling birthday on wednesday.
Ky bought a slice of chocolate of cake to celebrate during lunch hour, too bad she cannot eat chocolate. There's a candle and 3 "frogs" on it, just nice for the three of us to eat hahaa. After that my lab got celebration, not for me of course... for a colleague who succeeded in graduating from her PhD studies and becoming a postdoc. We had pizzas and pastries again.
Met up with kenny later and had our dinner at the Hog's breath cafe in chijmes. Its my first time eating there and i had to say their steaks are really bombastic! Juicy and chewy...mmmhhmm
I bought my birthday cake myself again cos my mum had no idea where and what Rive Gauche bakery is. This is my dream cake ever since i ate it on my friend's 21st birthday party (see!... we really celebrated 21st birthday not so long ago lor), the *~*Guanaja cake *~*
Last weekend i was playing basketball at a court near my house and saw this cat laying around. When i approached it, it just turned around and showed me its belly... make me feel so paiseh *blush*
*Zoom* It seemed like relaxing as i stroke its belly hahaa. She felt soft and fuzzy. She keep in the same position even when i left her... maybe she really fell asleep.
